Rich Snippets by Google

A major complaint from search engine optimisers in recent years has been how hard it is to tell what your Rich Snippets are going to look like until they appear in results.  However, you had to have them to make your site appear higher in the results.  The good news is Google has decided to make the Rich Snippets Testing Tool that will correct the problem of the past.  You are now able to view your snippets in real time.  You can check the code and you will no longer be in the dark.

You can put your URL into the tool and check that the code the site is using is actually going to work.  If you need to you can edit it and make sure that the results have been corrected.  You will want to use Rich Snippets in order to dominate your local market.  There are a number of ways that will make the snippets work.  Rich snippets for those who do not know are to help during the search bot crawl as well as to help the consumer.  They offer information like customer reviews, location, etc. that the consumer will want to know and it helps the bots get meta data that they need.
